Many people think it is a sign of getting old. But the reality is that it could be something as simple as medication, if you have not been sleeping well, if you have been fatigued, even a change in body chemistry can cause brain fog.

What are some of the signs of brain fog?

Tired
Frustrated
Lack of mental clarity
Slow understanding (when it comes to learning)
Having troubles making decisions
Forgetting what you talk about while having a conversation

What can you do to improve your thinking?

We need to find out what might be causing the brain fog to begin with.

Inflammation conditions that can cause brain fog are lupus, allergy’s to food, arthritis, diabetes, changes in glucose in the blood, chronic fatigue, when the body is so tired it can’t function anymore. Being dehydrated causes brain fog and also getting migraines. Sometimes when you are pregnant you can get brain fog or if you get chemotherapy.

To get rid of the brain fog, check with your doctor to make sure it is not something that needs to be observed by him or her first.

Make sure you get plenty of sleep, at least eight hours.

Meditation is also a way of relaxing and calming you down for the night. Listening to soft music help ease one to sleep, taking a nice hot shower or relax in a tub can help to relieve yourself of the stress of the day.

Eating healthy meals everyday help also when it comes to clearing your mind. Eating food rich with all the nutrition your mind needs to stop getting brain fog, like fatty acids. Fish has the omega 3s that our brain needs to function, avocados, walnuts, also eat vegetables and fruits that contain free radicals,

and eat leafy veggies and spices to help keep the inflammation away.

Another cause may be a lack of vitamins like B-12s. It could also be due to a lack of magnesium, the deficiency causes brain fog because the body needs magnesium so the neuron cells transmit proper messages to the body.

But the best thing you can do for your body is exercise. Keep moving, especially if you have been sitting all day get up and shake that booty. Run around the house, chase the dog, or chase your wife, have some fun, or just turn on some of your favorite music and dance like no one is watching. And if they are, they just might get up and dance with you because you make it look like fun.

So, don’t just be watching TV, or be on your phone, or your laptop, or whatever you may be on. Take a break, give a shoutout to the family that in ten minutes the Internet is going to be turned off for thirty minutes so that the family can do some kind of exercise together.
